UMAHS College Planning Night!

Join us for Upper Merion Area High School’s College Planning Night on Tuesday, March 17th from 6:00–8:30 PM. This evening is designed to help students and families better understand the college admissions and planning process through interactive workshops and a mini college fair.

Whether your student is just beginning to explore options or narrowing down their list, this event will provide valuable information and the opportunity to connect with college admissions representatives.

Horns Up!

Headline: Cocoa, Cookies, and Character! ☕️🍪

Huge shoutout to our UMAHS HORNS UP nominees! Today, we celebrated the students who have been crushing it all quarter by living out our core values:

  • Honest

  • Optimistic

  • Respectful

  • Neighborly

  • Supportive

Teachers throughout the building nominated these students for their positivity, and we fueled that positivity today with a hot chocolate bar and sweet treats. 🤘✨

Keep leading by example! #HornsUp

Vikings Return!

We are so excited to welcome the Class of 2025 back to the halls of Upper Merion today! These recent graduates visited with English classes throughout the day to give our current seniors the inside scoop on the college admission process and campus life. It was a wonderful opportunity for our current students to learn firsthand from peers who have successfully navigated the transition to life after high school. The HS Counseling Center organized the event allowing both staff & students to reconnect with these familiar faces. Our alumni enjoyed catching up with the Viking community and were able to effectively articulate the transition from UM to college and beyond, the entire staff here was excited to give them a warm welcome home!

Build Your Stacks UM!

HS Classroom Library Showcase: Aside from the assigned literature, UMAHS English classes encourage books that allow students to explore their personal interests and connections. When students investigate classroom libraries & the school library, they begin to see themselves as readers with choice and take ownership of their reading. Building a personal stack creates interest & empowerment, making reading an ongoing part of their daily life. BUILD YOUR STACK UPPER MERION!
